Credit Authorization

Last updated: October 14, 2026

This page sets out the Credit Authorization you give when you check the consent box and submit a request on blubirdiq.com. Please read it before you submit.

By submitting my request, I authorize BlubirdIQ LLC ("BlubirdIQ", "we", "us" or "our") and the marketing partners listed on the Marketing Partners page to obtain consumer report information about me from one or more consumer reporting agencies, and to use that information to determine the home equity products and offers I may qualify for and to present them to me. I understand that this is a soft inquiry, which is visible only to me on my credit file and does not affect my credit score. I understand that this authorization is not an application for credit, and that if I later choose to apply with a lender, that lender will ask for my separate authorization before making a hard inquiry.

What a soft inquiry is

A soft inquiry (also called a soft pull or prescreen) lets a company view limited information from your credit file without creating a record that other lenders can see. It has no effect on your credit score. A hard inquiry, by contrast, is made when you actually apply for credit, is visible to other lenders and may lower your score slightly.

What is obtained and why

Consumer report information may include your credit score range, the presence of a mortgage or other liens, and other summary credit attributes. It is used to confirm the credit range you entered, to determine which partners' products you may be eligible for, and to help those partners present offers that fit your profile. It is obtained under the Fair Credit Reporting Act with your written instruction, which you provide electronically by checking the consent box and clicking submit.

Who may obtain it

BlubirdIQ and the partners named on the Marketing Partners page as of the time of your submission. Each is responsible for using the information only for the purpose you authorized and for safeguarding it.
